As the COVID-19 (Coronavirus) situation continues to evolve each day, Genisys is committed to keeping the health and safety of our team and members as our top priority. Please monitor this page for Branch Access updates and more information related to COVID-19.

Update 6/8 - All branches are open for full service.

In an effort to keep you and our team safe while using the lobby:

  • WE ARE LIMITING THE TOTAL NUMBER OF GUESTS ALLOWED IN OUR BRANCHES. You may be asked to wait outside until our lobby is available.
  • ONLY ONE GUEST may enter with each Member.
  • FACE MASKS ARE REQUIRED TO ENTER. You will be asked to show your ID and lower your face mask briefly to be identified.
  • PLEASE RESPECT SOCIAL DISTANCING of at least 6 feet apart while waiting for your transaction.
  • Lobby Shared Branch transactions are not available.

All Genisys Credit Union lobbies are temporarily CLOSED.
The COVID-19 (Coronavirus) situation continues to expand and worsen each day. It is our corporate and social responsibility to make every effort possible towards the containment of this virus by following the sheltering in place and social distancing ordered by our state government.

In addition, the following Genisys Credit Union branches are closed and will only have ATM service.

We have created a special Relief Loan to help those who need it most. Plus we may be able to offer additional help such as:

As the COVID-19 (Coronavirus) situation continues to evolve each day, I believe it is our corporate and social responsibility to make every effort possible towards the containment of this virus.  With the health and safety of our team and members as our top priority, until further notice Genisys Credit Union branch lobbies will operate by appointment only, for services that cannot be done through the drive-thru or electronically.

Making certain our members maintain access to their accounts, can obtain funds and can apply for loans is very important to us. We strongly recommend that you leverage all of the Genisys Credit Union remote access tools and services that provide 24/7 access to your accounts. If you are not enrolled in these services and need assistance with the process, please reach out to our Member Contact Center.

  • Mobile Banking and Online Banking services allow you to check balances, transfer funds, deposit checks, find the nearest ATM and much more.
  • Online Lending - apply for the loan and sign the documents on any device right from our online lending app. No appointment necessary!
  • Online Bill Pay
  • ATMs
  • Mobile Wallets - Load your debit and credit cards to Apple Pay, Samsung Pay and Google Pay for contactless transactions.

To make an appointment for a service that cannot be performed electronically, please call or text your local branch or our Member Contact Center at 248-322-9800 x5 from 8:00 AM - 7:00 PM. Our Drive-Thru will remain open for all of your cash transaction needs, as well as debit and credit card issuance related requests and more.

We are committed to helping members who are experiencing hardships due to the coronavirus outbreak. Please call us to speak with a member service representative if you are in need of financial assistance. Rest assured that Genisys Credit Union is a very strong and stable financial institution and we will not waver due to events such as this.

Information about COVID-19 and your Credit Union

Genisys Credit Union is committed to safeguarding the health of our members, staff, and volunteers. As we monitor the spread of COVID-19 (Coronavirus), we want to keep you apprised of our actions and policies to keep you protected.

What We Are Doing

The Credit Union is following the guidance from the State Health Departments and the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) recommendations to prevent exposure to the virus by both our members and staff.

We have increased our efforts to clean and disinfect frequently touched surfaces including door knobs, phones, handrails, and counters throughout all our facilities. Also, we will be limiting physical contact with each other and our members. We also have contingency plans in place that are designed to limit any service disruptions due to coronavirus impacts, as we do for any number of scenarios. These include remote access capabilities, alternate work locations for employees and continuity plans for critical operations.

What You Can Do

  • Avoid close contact with people who are sick.
  • Avoid touching your eyes, nose, and mouth.
  • Stay home when you are sick.
  • Cover your cough or sneeze with a tissue, then throw the tissue in the trash.
  • Clean and disinfect frequently touched objects and surfaces using a regular household cleaning spray or wipe.
  • Follow CDC’s recommendations for using a facemask.
  • CDC does not recommend that people wear a facemask to protect themselves from respiratory diseases, including COVID-19.
  • Facemasks should be used by people who show symptoms of COVID-19 to help prevent the spread of the disease to others. People who are taking care of someone in close settings (at home or in a health care facility) should also wear a facemask.
  • Wash your hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds, especially after going to the bathroom; before eating; and after blowing your nose, coughing, or sneezing.
  • If soap and water are not readily available, use an alcohol-based hand sanitizer with at least 60% alcohol. Always wash hands with soap and water if hands are visibly dirty.
