ROCHESTER, MI –The Rochester Regional Chamber of Commerce is seeking nominations for a special area resident who will lead the historic Rochester Hometown Christmas Parade down Main Street on Sunday, December 6, 2015.
In its 64th year, the Rochester Hometown Christmas Parade is the largest Christmas Parade in Michigan with an average of 3,000 parade participants that represent a collaborative effort among families, businesses, non-profit and civic organizations as well as schools and universities. The 2014 Parade boasted nearly 80,000 loyal spectators, community organizations, floats, units of marchers, drill teams, marching bands, clowns, equestrian groups, fire trucks and Michigan dignitaries.
Besides leading the Parade down Rochester Road/Main Street in Rochester and Rochester Hills, the winner will be the guest of honor on Thursday, December 3, 2015 at the annual Grand Marshal Celebration, held at Great Oaks Country Club in Rochester, MI.
Nominees should beindividuals, or a couple, who stand out for their generous gift of time and commitment to making a positive impact. Those interested in nominating the parade Grand Marshal should complete the nomination form along with three paragraphs detailing the nominee’s community involvement and their contributions to the greater Rochester community.
Nominees should be a resident of Rochester, Rochester Hills or Oakland Township.
