Auburn Hills, MI, May 14, 2012 – Genisys Credit Union recently helped collaborate a graffiti solution between The Friends of the Clinton River Trail, Glidden Paint and the City of Pontiac for the Clinton River Trail pedestrian bridge over Telegraph.
“The resolution was creative and involved multiple stakeholders,” said Linda Zabik, Genisys Manager of Public Relations & Community Involvement. “Genisys contacted Glidden who donated the paint which matches the bridge, paint brushes, rollers and all of the additional painting supplies, The Friends of the Clinton River Trail provided volunteers, and the City of Pontiac coordinated the effort. It’s amazing how everything aligned to help preserve an asset that delivers a better quality of life to all who utilize the Clinton River Trail.”
The graffiti was painted over on May 3, 2012 by the Friends of The Clinton River Trail.
“The Friends of the Clinton River Trail was happy to assist with the removal of the graffiti on the Telegraph Road overpass to assure that the Clinton River Trail remains an attractive recreational feature and not a symbol of blight,” said Mimi Zwolak, FCRT President.
Over the last few years, Genisys has participated in several events including the Clinton River Clean-Up and the Fall Classic Ride, which benefit and beautify the Clinton River Trail.
The Clinton River Trail is a recreational multi-use trail on 16 miles of abandoned rail line through the heart of Oakland County, including the cities of Sylvan Lake, Pontiac, Auburn Hills, Rochester Hills and Rochester. It connects with the existing West Bloomfield Trail to the west and the Macomb Orchard Trail to the east.
