Auburn Hills, MI, May 8, 2012 – Genisys Credit Union was the Presenting Sponsor for Waterford Youth Assistance’s Youth Recognition Night on April 25, 2012 at Waterford Kettering High School and provided team members to assist during the evening’s celebration.
Over 90 elementary, middle and high school students throughout the Waterford School District were honored for making outstanding contributions to their community, school and/or for personal achievements. They are typically nominated by schools, community organizations, civic leaders and members of their religious affiliations.
“It’s great to see so many young people involved in their community and giving back to society,” said Jackie Buchanan, Chief Executive Officer. “Being able to sponsor an event that recognizes individuals for their positive contribution to the community goes hand in hand with what credit unions stand for and is a step forward in teaching youth about giving back.”
