What do I have to do to begin earning rewards points?
Nothing. There is no action required. You automatically earn points every time you use your Genisys Credit Union Debit MasterCard® as a credit card, which means you sign for the purchase when the transaction is complete.
You can also earn bonus points by shopping through the ShoppingFLING program, either online at the ShoppingFLING website or in-store at participating merchants. Participating merchants are listed on the ShoppingFLING website. You must use your Genisys Credit Union Debit MasterCard® for your purchases in order to earn bonus points through ShoppingFLING. How much does it cost to participate?
There is no fee to participate in Genisys Rewards; however, standard rates and fees for use of your Genisys Credit Union Debit MasterCard® do apply.
How do I earn points?
Points are earned on each transaction done with your Debit MasterCard® when used as a credit card (using your signature rather than your PIN). If your PIN is entered during your transaction, points are not earned. Only transactions done using your signature will earn 1 point for each $2 spent. If a merchant asks you to enter your PIN, just say “I would like to do this transaction as a credit card”.

How do I view my account online? What information do I need?
Be sure to have your card handy. Then, go to www.rewardsnow.com/Genisys and complete the online form. You will be asked for certain information including the last six digits of your card number. When registering, we encourage you to choose to receive a monthly e-statement notification that will give you a summary of your points as well as bonus point offers. Once you have completed the registration form you will be able to log on.
How can I check my point total?
Your point summary is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. You can check your points on the website at www.rewardsnow.com/Genisys or by calling the Genisys Rewards Service Center at 1-888-882-7938.
How often are my points updated?
Points are credited to your account monthly, so it may take up to 45 days for points to be applied to your account. Bonus points earned through ShoppingFLING may take from 45 to 90 days to be applied to your account. You will receive a points breakdown on your monthly Genisys Credit Union account statement. You may also choose to receive a monthly e-statement notification by visiting the website at www.rewardsnow.com/Genisys.
What is the minimum amount of points I can redeem?
Genisys Rewards points can be redeemed for as little as 2,500 points for merchandise. Downloadable rewards may be redeemed for as little as 750 points.
Is there a limit of points I can earn?
You can earn up to a maximum of 80,000 points per calendar year.
Do the points ever expire?
The points expire monthly 3 years from the month in which they are earned. Example: Points earned in May 2008 will expire in May 2011.
What is the best way to redeem my points?
Our website, www.rewardsnow.com/Genisys, is the best way because your order is instantly received, and you have many more merchandise and redemption opportunities. Music, ringtones, books, and most of the gift certificates are only available online and cannot be ordered through the member service number.
How do I redeem points for merchandise, gift cards, and downloadable music, ringtones, and books?
You can do all of your redemptions online. Select any item from the hundreds of items available on the website at www.rewardsnow.com/Genisys and compare your available points with the number needed for the item you want. Downloadable rewards can be received instantly. If you do not have internet access, you can call the Genisys Rewards Service Center at 1-888-882-7938. A Redemption Specialist will be happy to assist you.
How do I redeem points for travel?
Redeeming your points for travel is easy. Explore the options on the website at www.rewardsnow.com/Genisys! If you don’t have web access, call our Service Center toll-free at 1-888-882-7938 – 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. You can use our Online Travel Resource Center, book through a Travel Resource Center Agent. The Travel Rebate allows you to book your travel for any airline, hotel, cruise, or car rental anywhere and then apply your points to pay for all or part of your trip! After you travel, go to the website and print a Travel Rebate Certificate. Attach your travel receipts to the certificate and mail to:
After the paperwork is processed, you will receive a rebate credit to your Genisys Credit Union Debit account. If you do not have internet access, you can call the Service Center toll-free at 1-888-882-7938, and we will mail you a certificate.
Why is there a reduction of points?
If you returned purchased merchandise, the points are removed from your account which will result in a reduction of your points. In rare instances, it could actually give you a negative point balance.
Why can’t I access my account online?
If your account is less than 60 days old, you may have to wait a brief period to get into the system. If your account is more than 60 days old and you are still having difficulty, please call Genisys Rewards Service Center at 1-888-882-7938.
